Donald D. Snyder named Chairman of Bank of Nevada Board of Directors
(Las Vegas) - Bank of Nevada announced today that Donald D. Snyder has been elected Chairman of its Board of Directors. A co-founder of the bank, Mr. Snyder has served on its board and has also been a board member of the bank's parent company, Western Alliance Bancorporation, since 1996.
A leader in Nevada banking, business and civic organizations, Snyder has held multiple positions in executive management and as a corporate director for a wide range of private and publically held companies including numerous non-profit community building efforts in Las Vegas and Nevada as a whole. He began his banking career with First Interstate Bank in California in 1969 and served as Chairman and CEO of First Interstate Bank of Nevada from 1987 to1991. He later joined Boyd Gaming Corporation as a member of the Board of Directors and in 1997 was named President, a position he held until his retirement in 2005.

Snyder currently serves on the Board of Directors of NV Energy, Tutor Perini Corporation and Switch Communications Group. In addition to holding leadership positions in a number of nonprofit and pubic service organizations, he also serves as the volunteer Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Smith Center for the Performing Arts and has played an integral role in its development since the mid-nineties.
